‘Tis the Season for Scams
Holiday season is upon us which means we can expect an increase in holiday cheer and scams! One of the most popular scams around the holidays involves gift cards. The set up may vary, but they all operate on similar principles:
A fan will ask you to send them a $50 digital gift card in exchange for a generous tip, usually 2 or 3 times the amount of the gift card. While the big tip may sound enticing, these scammers will often use stolen credit cards to tip you. This will almost certainly result in a chargeback and if successful, the scammer gets away with some of that sweet, sweet gift card money.
So what can you do to prevent this? Report and block the user! Any users that follow a similar script to the one mentioned above should be reported and blocked. We don’t want these people on the platform. It’s a waste of time for you and other models.
Unrelated to the gift card situation above, but still relevant are those suspicious new clients that tip large amounts from the start of the conversation. They will likely drop large tips to request Skype, SnapChat, or other off platform services because they know their stolen credit card will soon be frozen and they won’t have access to more credits on SextPanther. If the vibe just seems off with a new client, do not hesitate to report them as it will allow our Fraud Prevention team to review the situation.
The holidays make people act all sorts of crazy. If a client is acting sus, they are probably up to no good. With your help, we can make sure they end up on the naughty list.
