Trending—Explained
Have you suddenly seen 🔥 appear next to your name on your profile? You can earn that hot, little emoji and a spot on the Trending Models page if you are one of the models who has had the most credits* spent on you in the last 3 hours.
Notice that trending is about the amount users spent, not the amount you earned. If a user tips you $50, you earn $40 (80% payout for tips). If a user spends $50 on a video call, you earn $37.50 (75% payout). Even though you’ve earned a little less from that video call, the $50 spent is what counts for trending. All that’s to say, tips won’t get you closer to trending than any other spending category. As long as it’s raining, it doesn’t matter which bucket (e.g., messages, calls) that cash falls in.
The Trending page accounts for the last 3 hours and refreshes every half hour. So a 5:30pm refresh takes into account 2:30pm to 5:29pm. We know that seeing that Trending flame is a meaningful motivator. With a three-hour span, the intention is to help models trend during their shift rather than after.
Displaying models Trending in the last 3 hours is also intended to improve the user experience, thereby increasing user retention and user spend. SextPanther is designed to connect users with models who are online now, ready to engage in the moment. By displaying models trending from the last 3 hours, the site increases the likelihood that more models on the Trending page will also be Online Now.
The little green arrows with numbers on the Trending page indicate how many spots a model has moved up among the Trending models, not overall rank or category rank. For example, if you see a ^2 by your icon, it means you’ve moved up two spots on most credits spent on you in the past 24 hours, not two spots in your overall rank.
The baseline amount of credits spent on you to get that Trending status constantly changes because it’s all relative to how many credits users spend on other models and how quickly that credit spend happens. How long you keep your Trending status is also unpredictable for the same reason. Try not to get discouraged if you are having a good earnings day but still aren’t hitting trending; it’s possible that the steady spend on you will bump you to trending later as previously trending models fall off that half-an-hour refresh.
Just remember that while it’s a nice boost to be trending and it increases your visibility to users, you can also increase your visibility by staying active on the site so that you appear toward the top of the Online Now, Phone Sex, and Video Calls pages.
