The Explore Page—Explained
The Explore page was recently revamped to showcase popular content on the site and encourage users to discover a wider variety of content and models that catch their attention.
The layout of the page shows six groups of posts: Trending Posts, New Posts, and a rotation of four popular post tags. Every time a user or model visits or refreshes the Explore page, a new selection of popular tags will appear. If a user clicks to Explore More, they are prompted to log in or create an account to view additional posts.
Trending Posts
Trending posts are ordered by the most liked posts within the last 24 hours, refreshing every half hour.
New Posts
New posts are ordered by the most recent post made to Explore, refreshing every time the person viewing the page refreshes or revisits the page.
Popular Tag Posts
Following the New Posts are four blocks of posts grouped by tag. The tags displayed change each time someone refreshes the page. At times, such as during an Explore feed contest, the first tag displayed may remain set. The most popular tags are the tags on posts with the highest number of likes across the site within the last 24 hours.
If, for example, #femdom appears on posts with more likes in the last 24 hours than many other tags, then #femdom will be one of the popular tags in rotation.
Within each tag block, posts are ordered by those with the most likes in the last 24 hours, updating every 30 minutes.
A model can appear only once per displayed tag block. If a model has a lot of likes in the last 24 hours on several feed posts that include the same tag, then only the post with the most likes will be displayed in that tag block and “Explore More.”
Below the last Popular Tag block are X buttons of additional popular tags for users to explore. As popular tags, these will be among those that could be displayed when someone refreshes the Explore page.
